About Sons of Norway

Fritjov Lodge is the Stanwood Chapter of Sons of Norway International. We are a completely volunteer organization dedicated to celebrating Nordic traditions (and foods!). If you have an affinity for the traditions, foods, culture, and history of Norway, or simply feel like Everything Norwegian Rocks, you are welcome here.

10/23/2026	Movie Night at 6 PM	Movie: Restauration, a 54' ship that marked the beginning of organized Norwegian emigration to the US, 200 years ago.
11/9/2026	Business Meeting at 4PM	All members welcome to attend.
11/13/2026	Fritjov Lodge Monthly Dinner Meeting	Members and Guests Welcome. Social at 4PM, Turkey dinner at 6PM. Program: sylvsmidja from Voss, Norway, give a program on Norwegian silver jewelery. Bring 1 piece of your own for evaluation and cleaning. The Hall will open at 4PM for cleaning and viewing so come early. img src="sylvsmidja.png" height="400"

December	No Fritjov Lodge Monthly Dinner Meeting in December	No meeting this month due to the Lutefisk Dinner event on the 5th and Christmas Party later in the month.
12/1/2026	Cooking Class - Seven kinds of cookies	Learn how to make 7 different cookies, tools and supplies provided. 6PM at the lodge in Stanwood. $25
12/5/2026	Fritjov Lodge Lutefisk Dinner	Tickets Required, no sales at the door. Social at 3PM, Dinner at 4PM. Tickets available to members in October, Non-members in November. $40 ($15 for children 12 and under. Reservations thru Dorothy by phone or text 360-710-6904 or Barbara at 425-210-8325 phone or text. Menu is lutefisk, meatballs and gravy, potatoes, vegetable, cole slaw, lefse, pickled herring, almond cake and cookies. This is a popular event!

12/27/2026	Christmas Family Party	Romjul or Visiting Day party. Details to come.

We are looking for help within our Lodge. If you have some time to join in the fun, please review these opportunities and sign up:

* Membership Secretary - Commitment is present till January 2027, monthly Board meeting or 45-60 minutes, retrieving online membership reports from International SofN and sending reminders and encouragement to members.

* All Positions - Our next elections will be for all officers 2027-2029, nominations and voting in Fall of 2026. Please consider these opportunities to make our lodge better and stronger.

Fritjov Lodge has established a memorial fund to allow friends and family members to donate to the lodge in the name of a passed lodge member. The funds are used to maintain the building or help sustain the lodge.Please send donations to Fritjov Lodge, P.O. Box 472, Stanwood WA 98292
